Our Approach

Our History

Eden Poodles is located in Snellville, Georgia about 30 miles from Atlanta. We are the founder of Eden Kennels. This is about 10 minutes from Stone Mountain Park. I have been a Professional Pet Groomer for 45 years. I was the owner of A-Woof A-Whinny & A-Purr-r Pet Grooming Salon that was located in Snellville, Georgia for 18 years. I have also worked with several vets in the area in the last 25 years. I am now working at Wellspring Animal Hospital in Covington, Ga.

In the 70's and 80's I bred and raised toy poodles and minature schnauzers. In the late 80's it was time to raise a couple of kids. I have a son, Kevin, that is 33 and a daughter, Susie, that is 30. When Susie was 13 she fell in love with a Standard Poodle puppy named Linus, that a client owned. Susie had earlier been diagnosed with a brain tumor. We had to deal with lots of ups and downs during this time. The client ( a really wonderful friend ) gave Susie a black Standard Poodle puppy that we named "Hope". This was the beginning of Eden Poodles. Since this time God has done many miracles in our lives. Susie's tumor has stopped growing, Praise God! Susie has blessed us with 3 beautiful grandsons.

We have now added to our Eden family. We have a beautiful Moyen female black poodle named Nellie. She is the granddaughter of Seth of Eden. Her father is a beautiful Red Miniature poodle that was third in the country (UKC)for a multicolor in 2015. We also have our upcoming Moyen stud dog named Eden's Franknsince. We call him Frankie. Our dogs live in the house with us. We usually plan one litter a year. It is a real zoo sometimes around our house!

Our Goal for Eden Poodles

Our goal at Eden is to breed healthy, beautiful and well adjusted puppies. We are breeding for disposition as well as beauty. It is important to us that the parents of our puppies are healthy and love to interact people. We will not breed a dog that does not get along with childen or other pets. There is a hereditary factor in temperment so we are very careful about the dogs that we choose to add to our breeding program. All of our puppies are well socialized. The puppies are picked up and played with from birth till they go to their new homes. They live the first 2 weeks in a small nursery that doubles as my grooming room, there they have peace and quiet with Mom. When the puppies are between 2 and 3 weeks old they are moved to our kitchen. We have a exersize pen that they stay in. This gets them used to all of the sights, sounds, and smells of homelife. We start them on food at 3 to 4 weeks of age and they really start to grow and develop their own personalities. We start crate training them in pairs at about 6 weeks of age. They adjust really well to the crate and are usually accustomed to sleeping in it at night when they go to their new homes.

Feel free to contact us. I have to tell you that I have met some of the nicest people in the world in the last several years. God has blessed me beyond words. I want to thank all of the people that have purchased a puppy from Eden Poodles. I pray that the Light of the Lord will shine upon all of you. May God richly bless each and everyone of you. I say this from the bottom of my heart.
